A fabulous antique Bakhtiar rug, woven circa 1920. The design features a small terracotta medallion on an unusual ivory field of flower heads and leaves connected by scrolling arabesques. Finely woven with lovely secondary colours of pinks, greens and blues.
Size: 2.13m x 1.36m (7ft x 4ft 6in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier in a couple of tiny places (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
