A lovely antique Kashan rug, handwoven circa 1900 featuring a floral design on a deep indigo field around an elegant terracotta medallion and similar border. Fabulous secondary colours, especially the light green and gold throughout the rug. Very finely woven with Kurk wool from the sheep’s neck.
Size: 2.10m x 1.41m (6ft 11in x 4ft 8in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
