A stunning antique Bidjar rug, handwoven in west Persia circa 1920 with a large red and light blue medallion on a dark indigo Herati field. Note the small birds in the red field (see photos). Exceptional wool quality and great secondary colours.

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
