A beautiful antique Chanteh woven by the nomadic Lor tribe circa 1880. It is woven on one side with an attractive abstract kilim on the reverse. The design features a cruciform medallion on an open terracotta field. These small vanity bags were woven by the women of the tribe and would have been used to keep valuable items such as jewellery or money. These antique Chantehs have become very hard to find and are highly collectible.

This Chanteh is in good condition with very light, age related wear. No holes or repairs.
