A beautiful antique Qashqai carpet, handwoven by the eponymous nomadic tribe circa 1920. The design features 3 hooked medallions on an abrasched indigo field and ivory border. Note the numerous animal figures throughout the carpet.
Size: 3.00m x 2.01m (9ft 10in x 6ft 7in). As with many tribal rugs, it is slightly misshapen and is approximately 15cms wider at the bottom.
This carpet has light, age related wear, slightly heavier in places. Small strip of heavy wear on the bottom end (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
