A beautiful vintage Kazak rug, hand woven circa 1940 in the Caucasus mountains in what is now Azerbaijan. The design features three geometrical medallions on an unusual aubergine field. Lovely wool quality and fabulous secondary colours.
Size: 2.53m x 1.73m (8ft 4in x 5ft 8in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. A few small repairs, professionally done (see photos).
