A beautiful and impressively large Pao-Tao rug, handwoven in China circa 1940 with a design depicting a traditional Chinese landscape, complete with mountains, lakes and trees. Note the well drawn houses and the use of various shades of green for the realistic trees.

This rug is in original condition with good pile and minimal wear. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
